The Business


The Role

If your expertise lies in middle office activities, deal structures of loans, documentation, security handling and its valuation, loan events, a position as Vice President is ideal for you. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Commercial & Private Banking(CPB) Lending portfolio to drive customer satisfaction, quality and efficiency, delivering quality service and maintaining a controlled environment and collaborate with business partners. You will also be responsible for hiring, planning and managing capacity, manage escalations & disputes and leading process re-engineering/automation initiatives.


To qualify for this role, you need to have  prior experience in handling libor and base rate loans in either middle office and / or lending operations.

What the Business Does

This role is based in the CPB Operations reporting to the Vice President / Director.


Your Responsibilities

As Vice President, you will be required to:

  • Lead and manage a team of 30-40 staff in Middle Office / Lending Operations, eEstablish and maintain effective relationship with business areas and other stakeholders and identify areas of service improvements
  • Manage business and lead the strategic thinking with global teams, Build capability matrix and assess back ups and training requirements, effectively contribute towards global change and transformation programs
  • Drive strategic direction for the team, take ownership and create close integration with the global footprint, deliver on financial budgets through effective process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure Accuracy – Inculcate zero error culture, timely escalation with action plans to address identified risk areas
  • Manage risk and control environment of the business, self-identification of risks and implement controls to mitigate operational errors


Skills you need

  • Minimum ten years experience in commercial / corporate lending operations in credit documentation, limit administration and loan servicing
  • Well versed in English credit documentation, ability & willingness to work in different time-zones / regions
  • End to end knowledge about Banking and Lending operations
  • Good portfolio management and supervisory skills
