The Role

 

Join us as a Support Professional and manage the Production function for the new RBS General Ledger (RGL) that brings together financial information from the RBS groups various legal entities into a single comprehensive financial management solution.

 

RGL when fully deployed will take in over a hundred data feeds on a daily basis and deliver to the business a highly automated and customisable solution on an industry recognised Oracle E-Business Suite platform.

 

What the Business does

 

This role is based in the Finance Accounting Solutions Production Management team within Finance Solutions department and shall be part of the OCM (Oracle Cost Management) & RGL Support Team reporting to Support Lead.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Support Professional, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensure availability of applications to meet Service Level Agreements.
  • L1/L2 Batch Support that requires flexibility to work in shifts and weekends.
  • To ensure applications are fully compliant by adhering to processes and security compliance.
  • To develop automation tools reducing manual efforts, thereby increasing the capacity of the team to take on additional services.
  • Manage system incidents providing timely escalation/recovery actions and management communication.
  • Support the RGL Business on functional issues and work collaboratively with other technical and business areas to minimize business impacts.

 

The Skills you’ll need

In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:

 

  • A qualification from an Engineering College (B.E. / B.Tech.) , MCA (honours/ 1st class)
  • Experience on Oracle, SQL, Pl SQL and Unix (4 - 7 years). Desirable to have practical support experience of working with Oracle E-Business Suite, SOA and ODI components.
  • Experience in a support oriented environment, ideally with knowledge of tools used for managing incidents, change and problems.
  • Competent at investigating and resolving performance issues and on assigned tasks or incidents.
  • Exposure to Finance and Accounting shall be an added advantage
